How to donate
We are grateful to live in a community where people want to help other families in need.
You can donate your pre-loved baby items following the instructions below.
The Baby Bank has moved!

What can I donate?
- All clothing items for babies and toddlers – up to 2 years (max size 18-24 months), including coats and shoes
- Sheets and bedding (grobags and blankets) for moses baskets, cribs, cots and cotbeds
- Moses baskets, cribs, cots and cotbeds
- Newborn prams
- 6m+ suitable prams
- Structured and wrap slings
- Bouncers
- Highchairs
- Safety gates
- Bottles and sterilisers (electric or microwave)
- Baby baths, muslin cloths and baby towels
- Breast pumps
- Baby monitors
- Toys and books
- Toiletries and nappies
We do not accept:
- Car seats
- Baby furniture
- Travel cots
- Maternity clothes
- Pregnancy pillows
- Soft toys with beaded eyes
- Jumperoos
- Medicine
- Formula
- Potties
- Incomplete pram sets, i.e. only the carry cot or chassis
- The Scottish Government cardboard baby box or mattress (although we do accept the contents of the baby box).
- Sleeping Pods/Nests
- Nappy Bins
- Suitcases
Donating items to us
Large donations
For large items of equipment or donations of multiple bags, e.g. a carload, please complete the online donations form directly below. You will be emailed clear directions to drive to the Baby Bank at a time to suit you, when we are able to accept your donations.
Available Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4pm.
Smaller donations
- For donations that can be easily carried in carrier bags/bags for life, drive to the front of 1 Lochside View.
- The parking barrier will lift automatically once you have pressed the “ScotART” button.
- Park in the right-hand car park and look for the large orange container “Baby Bank Drop Off Point”.
- Lift the lid or front panel to place your bags inside.
- Available Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm.
Please do not drop off over the weekend.
Good quality items only:
We take pride in passing on items in good condition as it makes all the difference to the family on the receiving end.
Clean & sorted:
It’s a huge help to our volunteers if you can make sure all clothes, towels and bedding are freshly laundered, free of stains and sorted into sizes before handing them in. If they can be bagged and labelled, it’s a real time-saver for us.
Working order:
All equipment should be in good working order.
Complete with fittings:
Please include all fittings/screws for stair gates and cots. If you have any instruction manuals, that’s a bonus!
Buggies and prams:
Please check straps, brakes and wheels are in good working order on buggies and that the buggy can be folded.
Finally, if you’re not sure if your donation is suitable or not, a good test is to ask yourself if you would give it to the children of a good friend.
